Women in European media: from the results of the Global Media Monitoring Project (GMMP) to strategies for a new and more accurate communication
The GMMP, the longest-running and broadest research on women’s media presence worldwide, presented the results of the 2020 edition. From a detailed reading of European and Italian data, a partial and mortifying image of women emerges. How to obtain a fairer and more accurate representation? How to include more diverse and competent female figures?
Moderated by Paola Rizzi, journalist, GiULiA and ENWE member.

Reaching gender equality: where we are and what to do
Opening remarks by Silvia Garambois (President, GiULiA Association) and Federica Vittori (Projects and Empowerment Manager, cheFare).
An international panel to present and discuss:
– latest data from the Gender Media Monitoring Project
– challenges and helpful strategies to include more women experts in the news
– women experts’ experiences with being part of a database from the ENWE network
